UPDATE: COMPETITIONS ENTRIES NOW CLOSE ON 23 JUNE 2017
MLTAWA (Modern Language Teachers Association) and OMI (Office of Multicultural affairs) have launched a series of competitions in the lead up to Languages Week 2017 (7-12 August).
"Languages in our Landscape" and "Let me tell you a Story" are two competitions that I would like our school families to consider to to participate.
"Let me tell you a Story"
Students from Year PP-12 with a background of a language other than English are invited to tell a story in their home language. The entry can be an iMovie or eBook using a narrative genre.
"Languages in our Landscape"
All students from Year 3-12 can enter the competition "Languages in our Landscape". Students take a photograph of Language other than English in their immediate Landscape with a short written description.
